2. Well, the Nova Star is officially done-zo. The cruise ship that traveled from Portland to Nova Scotia is leaving after two seasons and less than stellar business. The ship has left the Portland Harbor and is headed to the Caribbean.
3. Two housing projects totaling more than 200 units win approval in Portland. One calls for 63 market rate units at High and York streets, and the other would add 150 units of senior housing on Ocean Avenue.
4. A man has been arrested in connection with the hoax “bomb” / suspicious package that was left on Middle Street in Portland. 64 year old George Dimauro has been connected to the act. His appearance in court was interesting to say the least.
5. I feel like there’s a supermoon lunar eclipse like every week. (right?) Sunday night the moon will be full and in its closest point in its orbit around the Earth, making it a so-called supermoon. In addition to this, a lunar eclipse will occur. In other words, the Earth will line up directly with the sun and moon, directly between the two.
