New takes on classic movies and shows have allowed generation after generation to enjoy the original stories. Now, The Addams Family, an American classic, is getting an animated take.
The new trailer brings America’s favorite goth family to New Jersey. This reboot will follow the family as they try to be their creepy selves in a place where everyone wants them to fit in with them or leave. Watch the trailer below:
This is the first time the family has been animated for a film and many of the quirks that people loved about the characters will be included in the movie. For example, Wednesday Addams is still wreaking havoc by bringing a bunch of dead frogs back to life during science class, and Pugsley is still the goofy younger brother.
Some new changes include Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot” playing in the trailer, a remixed version of the theme song, and there are some references to some horror movies such as It.
The movie stars Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloe Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, Snoop Dogg, Bette Midler, and Allison Janney. The movie will be released on October 11th. It will be exciting to see this new take on such an iconic family!
