West said slavery for 400 years sounded like “a choice,” which caused an uproar in the newsroom over at TMZ and all over social media for that matter.

Van Lathan (a staff member at TMZ), stood up and confronted Yeezy about his views, which was so good that even T.I reposted it;

I’m scratching my head like a muuuufucka now cuzz!!!! pic.twitter.com/8jYfhls9sm— T.I. (@Tip) May 1, 2018
Lathan continued, “And while you are making music and being an artist and living the life that you’ve earned by being a genius, the rest of us in society have to deal with these threats to our lives. We have to deal with the marginalization that’s come from the 400 years of slavery that you said for our people was a choice.”
It ended with West hugging Lathan and trying to shoot good vibes at him before he left,
“Sorry I hurt you with my words.”
