“The only handwritten lyrics of Lil Wayne ever for sale,” the Moments In Time auction listing read. A years long battle about who officially owned the lyric book has been settled, and now just 5 years after the book was up for auction for $250K it can be bought for a price tag 20x that…a whopping $5 million!
The notebook was said to be found in a car that once belonged to Cash Money Records, and when it was initially up for auction in 2019 for the previously mentioned $250k, Lil Wayne objected, demanded the book back, and pursued legal action to re-obtain it. Eventually, with Wayne sort of backing off and apparently becoming less interested in pursuing the book, the court ruled in favor of the man who “found it” in the Cash Money car.
