1. Dozens of Maine businesses plan to close or donate profits today as part of a nationwide strike protesting ICE activity. More than 50 shops and restaurants are participating, with some closing entirely and others giving a portion or all of their profits to immigrant support groups. 3. A Noble High School senior was killed Thursday after an Amtrak Downeaster struck his pickup truck in North Berwick. The crash happened just before 3 p.m., shutting down Route 4 for several hours. Police say the incident remains under investigation. (WGME)
4. A developing bomb cyclone is expected to stay mostly offshore, brushing the Maine coast late Sunday into early Monday with light snow and gusty winds up to 40 miles per hour. Ahead of the storm, Arctic air will bring dangerous wind chills, dropping into the 20s below zero in parts of Maine. (WMTW)
5. Cape Elizabeth hosted the first-ever Cumberland County Special Olympics Winter Games, organized by local middle school students. Nearly 100 athletes competed in speed skating, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Organizers say the statewide Winter Special Olympics are set for February 27. (PH)
