1.U.S. & Canadian officials now believe that an Iranian missile caused the fatal crash of a Boeing 737 on Wednesday. This news might come as a relief to Boeing, which is struggling to get its 737 MAX jets off the ground after two fatal crashes that resulted from mechanical shortcomings. Wednesday’s crash involved a Ukraine-bound plane, and killed all 176 people aboard–including 63 Canadians. (AP)

2. Yesterday Frederick Allen was charged with killing his wife Anielka Allen inside their Newport home. This is Maine’s first homicide in 2020. (NEWS CENTER MAINE)

3. Norman Kenney of Bath, who fought two rabid foxes in the past four months got some national limelight. Late Night host Seth Meyers joked ““An 88-year-old Maine man fought off his second fox attack in four months this week by choking the animal with his bare hands. Usually, the only person who’s the victim of this many Fox attacks is Hillary [Clinton],” taking a jab at the right-leaning cable news network.

4. Taco Bell will start paying managers annual salaries of $100,000 at select restaurants. Employees nationwide will also now be offered paid sick time. Taco Bell’s announcements represent “anLother example of how stubbornly low unemployment is changing the face of fast food.” (LA TIMES)

5. According to WABI 5, If you turn your radio to the frequency 102.9 in the Bangor area, you may notice something a little different. The station that used to be The Country Road is now 207 Hotline Bling Radio, currently playing ‘Hotline Bling’ by Drake on repeat. It is also being broadcast on 100.3 In the Lewiston / Auburn Area.
