1. John Williams, the suspect believed to have shot and killed Cpl. Eugene Cole, was apprehended Saturday using Cole’s handcuffs, police confirmed in a press briefing. A law enforcement officer told NEWS CENTER Maine that Williams was found naked about a half-mile back from Norridgewock Road. According to police, while conducting a grid search in the area they noticed tracks in the ground. That ultimately led them to search several pin-pointed locations. Williams “surrendered” to law enforcement when spotted. (NewsCenterMaine)

Twenty-four hours after comedian Michelle Wolf ripped into Trump and his aides on national television, Trump said the annual correspondents’ dinner was “an embarrassment.” He called Wolf’s stand-up act “filthy.” “Put Dinner to rest, or start over!” he tweeted. The association did issue a rare statement on Sunday night expressing regret about Wolf’s performance. The association’s president, Margaret Talev, did not apologize, as some Trump allies and Washington journalists wanted, but she said the roast wasn’t in keeping with the group’s mission. (CNN)

The Celtics advance: The Celtics won Game 7 of the first round of the NBA playoffs Saturday, advancing to the conference semifinals where they’ll face the Philadelphia 76ers Monday at 8 p.m. The Bruins flew past the Tampa Bay Lightningin Game 1 of the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs Saturday, with a score of 6-2. 4. Central Florida linebacker Shaquem Griffin, who has just one hand, made history on Saturday by being selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the NFL draft. Griffin is the first one-handed player to be drafted in the modern era; he will play alongside his twin brother, Shaquill Griffin, who was a third-round pick for the Seahawks last year. At the NFL scouting combine in February, Griffin’s 4.38-second 40-yard dash was the best of any linebacker since 2003 and tied for ninth best of any player in attendance. He also posted 20 bench press reps of 225 pounds while using a prosthetic device. (USAToday)
