Eminem, also known as Slim Shady, has just released his new song and video “Houdini.” In the visuals, Eminem receives a call from Dr. Dre, revealing that a portal to 2002 has opened in the city, bringing a younger version of Eminem — complete with short, bleached blonde hair — to 2024. The video features both the older and younger versions of Eminem and Dr. Dre, seamlessly blending the present and past. The cartoonish visuals from “Without Me” make a comeback, with Eminem donning the same superhero suit he wore in that iconic video.
The video is packed with cameos, including appearances by 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, and comedian Shane Gillis. In a climactic scene, Eminem and his younger self engage in a battle that ends with them merging into a single rapper with long, bleached blonde hair and a beard.
The video concludes with a humorous cameo from Pete Davidson, sporting bleached blonde hair, who gets into Eminem’s car and reassures him, “Don’t worry, I just got my license back.”
Eminem’s alter ego, Slim Shady, doesn’t hold back in his lyrics, taking shots at various targets. The most talked-about line is: “If I was to ask Megan Thee (What?) Stallion if she would collab with me / Would I really have a shot at a feat?” He also provocatively says “F Dr. Dre and his own kids,” staying true to his controversial and confrontational style.
