At midnight on Friday, Travis Scott released a new song called “K-Pop,” featuring Bad Bunny and The Weeknd. The collaboration was confirmed by Travis Scott on social media, just weeks after Bad Bunny was seen with a briefcase labeled “Utopia,” which is the name of Scott’s upcoming album.
Bad Bunny also mentioned that he and Travis had worked on the project a while back, but didn’t provide further details. This is the first time Travis Scott has collaborated with Bad Bunny, but he has previously worked with The Weeknd on songs like “Pray 4 Love” in 2015 and “Power Is Power” with SZA in 2019. There are rumors that SZA might also appear on the upcoming album “Utopia.”
The music video for “K-Pop,” directed by Travis, features appearances from Pharrell and SZA. While an official release date for “Utopia” hasn’t been confirmed by Travis Scott, it is expected to be available on July 28. Travis is planning to perform a live concert at the Giza Pyramids in Egypt on that day. There were some rumors about the event being canceled due to permit issues, but Live Nation clarified that the show is still on as scheduled.
