1. House Democrats will announce at least two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on today. A source says they’ll introduce separate impeachment articles for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

2. Pete Frates, the former Boston College baseball player who popularized the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, has died at the age of 34. While he did not create the challenge, his video sparked an effort that raised more than $220 million in support of the ALS Association. (Today)

3. The World Anti-Doping Agency has banned Russia from major international sporting competitions for four years over doping non-compliance. The ban includes the 2020 Summer Olympics and 2022 World Cup. (CNN)

4. On Monday, the Patriots admitted their video crew “unknowingly” broke NFL filming policy at Sunday’s Bengals-Brown game. The Pats claim the crew was only there to film for their “Do Your Job” web series. The crew, “without specific knowledge of league rules,” filmed the field from the press box. (Sportsnaut)

5. Walmart Canada pulled a Christmas sweater depicting Santa as a cocaine fiend off its website. The sweater featured “a bug-eyed Saint Nick” in front of three lines of white powder, along with the phrase, “Let it snow.” The product’s description read, “The best snow comes straight from South America. That’s bad news for jolly old St. Nick, who lives far away in the North Pole.” (Global News)
